After installing Tkinterdnd2 terminal still say 'Unable to load tkdnd library' on MacBook Pro M1

After installing Tkinterdnd2 does terminal still say 'Unable to load tkdnd library'? I have looked all over the internet for an answer but as yet have not found the right answer. I have a new MacBook Pro M1, and have managed after a lot of effort to load many things including Tkinter but as I then try to run.py, I get "Unable to load tkdnd library"

At the site to which Mr. Bennett-Alder linked, there is a folder for OS X binaries.

That folder contains a number of folders that seem to contain Mac distributions of the software. But the names of all of the distributions contain "MountainLion".

Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10,8) is a very old, Intel-only version of macOS. It's ten major versions behind Ventura – so even if the distribution does not contain any 32-bit code or system code (that would not work with Rosetta 2), there may be other things that will prevent those particular packages from working on a modern Mac.

Also wondering outloud if the installed version of Tk/Tcl will play a role in this TkinterDND2 functionality. Apple stopped updating Tk/Tcl versions years ago and they remain stuck at version 8.5.9, while 8.6.12 is available.

Apple is issuing a deprecation warning on these ancient Tk/Tcl releases with the caveat that it may be removed in a future macOS release.

Old issue, new issue, what changed?

Is Terminal.app included in your Full Disk Access...
