In-home assistance

I’m looking for Mac-mini knowledgeable support in the Natomas/Sacramento area. I’ve used Mac’s since day one, but I’m lost sometimes on my 2023 Mac mini. There are things not yet “updated” that cause issues. Right now, a new issue, working in Pages, font is no longer vivid. I would like a tech person willing to support in the long haul. Per hour rate. Also, myself and others would love to attend Pages and Numbers classes. Any out there?

Mac mini, macOS 10.13

In addition to John Galt's excellent advice above, you might consider visiting your Best Buy store and speak with the Apple specialist there. As him/her if they're available for in-home training on a per hour fee basis. This is how my late father was able to get some personal at home training on his Mac in his later years.

It's also possible an Apple Store employee is available for something like this. You'd need to check with the store manager to find out if it's something that can be discussed or not, though....I've no idea.

Or maybe...just maybe...someone who's helped a lot here in the Community lives in your area and is available. 😀

Another thought more along the lines of what you are seeking: User Groups - Apple

I was reluctant to suggest it at first because my impression of that resource is that it is poorly supported and generally outdated. It has been that way for a long time. For example I attempted to find a User Group near Sacramento but the website reported its database was being updated.

That resource is managed by volunteers whose time is understandably limited. Peruse it and decide for yourself.

If you search the web on Apple tutorials or even the subject app tutorials, you'll get hundreds of hits.

There are many more based on the specific search. https://search.brave.com/search?q=apple+pages+tutorials

If you're looking for true "in-home" instruction, that's not going to be cheap if you can find it at all. Ask for experience-based references.
