Full Screen Mode Covering Tabs: How to fix

I am having this same issue, tabs are covered by Apple toolbar, changing the View setting on IOS does not fix this. Anyone have any other ideas to solve this? So annoying having to retract and expand the window every time i want to switch tabs!!

Thanks for workaround, but it does not address actual problem. If you try Chrome on any other OS, there is no such problem. To be honest, I don't think it is MacOS problem, but rather problem in Chrome (and Chromium) implementation, but it will be nice if it will be jointly fully addressed ;-)

This is so annoying and there is no solution. I have a Macbook Air for work, brand new, and I was able to mess around with some settings and fix the issue. On my person MacBook, only a couple of years older, the setting doesn't seem to be there. Such a worthless annoyance that should never have been happening in the first place. There is no reason this needs to happen. Nobody prefers to not see their tabs!
