Apple Watch Ultra -No Shortcut Option Under Action Menu.

I had the same problem until today. In your Apple Watch app go to general>Apple ID. This is where you would need to login your Apple ID. It appears as if you’re logged in but that’s not the case you need to depress where it says login and it shows your actual Apple ID and enter your password and press the orange sign prompt. in from there Your Apple Watch will show in Find My app as well as your Shortcuts will now be working as intended.

Go into the Watch app go to general scroll down to Apple ID and enter your Apple ID and your password from there your Apple Watch will now show in the Find My and your Shortcuts will have now have available options from the drop-down screen.

Unfortunately I also have exactly the same issue, despite all suggestions made in this post. I am not able to see the shortcut option under the action button/menu. Hopefully someone can provide the solution! Many thanks!

Kind of frustrating, it's Nov 20 and I still have this problem on iOS 17.1.1 and Watch OS 10.1.1. There should be an easy way to do this! Just bought the Ultra 2 last week and have been setting it up.

This caught me off guard as well and I’ve finallly figured it out.

In Shortcuts, edit the shortcut you want on the watch. Right at the bottom you will see the Info (i) button. Tap on that and you will see the “Show on Apple Watch” toggle. Once you allow that, your shortcut should be visible in the Shortcut list in the Apple Watch app.

This confused me because Shortcuts created BEFORE the Apple Watch was launched had this toggled by default (I think), and therefore it kept showing the old ones but new ones I created didn’t show up.

if you have enabled the toggle, you may need to refresh (quit and re-launch) the Apple Watch app to refresh the list of available Shortcuts

I had no problem adding my shortcuts to the watch but then after a week or so I tried to add a new shortcut and it didn’t appear then I tried unpairing the watch and re pairing but now all shortcuts except the compass are gone and the action button was on a shortcut but when I went to change it the shortcut option disappeared

Syncing Shortcuts to Apple Watch

This solved the problem for me, hope it works for you but this is just my experience. Turning iCloud sync off and on again solved.  On iPhone go to Settings > Shortcuts > iCloud Sync and turn it off. Wait a minute or a few seconds.  Go to Settings > Shortcuts > iCloud Sync and turn it on. Give the app a few minutes to sync up to make sure all your shortcuts are uploaded to iCloud.

1. view your shortcut (edit mode)
2. tap on the (i) info button, middle on the bottom
3. Ensure that Show on Apple Watch is toggled

I appreciate the reply however, mine was already signed in. I could already find my watch on find My app, and everything like that.

I have the Shortcut option… Settings/Action Button.

Both iPhone and Ultra 1 up to date.
