«This email address is not available» for Apple ID despite the address is not used for any Apple ID as the primary nor as a recovery one

I have 2 Apple ID accounts:

The second account was previously linked to another email address:

I have re-linked the account today.

Now, the first email address is not used as the primary nor as a recovery email address for any Apple ID.

I want to re-link the first Apple ID account from to the second, but the system forbids me to do it: «This email address is not available».

I have re-posted the original problem description here: df.tips/t/1871

The same problem is published by other people on apple.stackexchange.com:

apple.stackexchange.com/q/62468

apple.stackexchange.com/q/329404

All of them insisted that the problem is impossible to solve, e.g.:

You can’t remove the primary email address associated with the account.

You can set another one as the primary, but the first email address that you use to create the account with cannot be changed ever.

Not even by calling Apple.

I tried.

Eventually, I created a dummy gmail account to get my invoices and stuff.

Once an email address is verified, there is no way to “unverify” it.

Luckily, it i wrong, and I found a solution: df.tips/t/1871/4

Hello Dmitrii_Fediuk,

If we understand correctly, you removed the email address that was linked to one Apple ID and now you'd like to add it to your other Apple ID.

According to the Apple Support article, Change your Apple ID, this can happen for two reasons.

If you can't change your Apple ID
• If you try to change your Apple ID to an @icloud.com email address that was created within the last 30 days, you will be asked to try again later.
• If you see a message that the email address you want to use isn't available or is already in use, check that you or a family member aren't already using that email address with a different Apple ID. If a family member is using that email address, remove it from their account then try to use it.

Basically, if it is an iCloud email address, you may need to wait 30 days. If not, check to see if the email address has been added as an additional email on another Apple account.

Regards.
