Hi there Dwyernorris,

If you are indeed using your MacBook Pro to access Apple TV+ in the Apple TV app, you'll want to be sure you're following these steps to sign in:

Sign in to or out of the Apple TV app
After you set up an Apple ID, you can sign in to purchase or rent items, view or change your account information, and see your purchase history.
* In the Apple TV app  on your Mac, choose Account > Sign In (or Sign Out).
* If you forgot your Apple ID or password, click “Forgot Apple ID or Password?” and follow the onscreen instructions.
* When you finish using the store, you can sign out to prevent anyone else who has access to your computer from making purchases using your account.
See the Apple Support article Sign in with your Apple ID.

You'll find those steps and more information here: Use your Apple ID to sign in to the Apple TV app on Mac - Apple Support

If that doesn't seem to help, please reply with a detailed description of the exact steps you're taking to sign in and any error messages or alerts you see when you try. We'll take a closer look from there.

Thanks!

Hello Dwyernorris,

Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. You've mentioned that you use the site to sign in, are you using Safari or another browser like Google Chrome? Are you experiencing this behavior with multiple browsers?

In order to provide accurate information, which macOS version is running on your MacBook Pro? You can find this information under: The Apple Menu > About This Mac.

Finally in order to isolate this issue further, we'd like to test this behavior in safe mode, and in another user account. Here's how:

Start up your Mac in safe mode

Change Users & Groups settings on Mac

We'll be waiting for the results. Kind regards.

If you still have this issue try the following approach:

  • Open Chrome
  • Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner and select Settings from the menu
  • Click Privacy and Security in the left column
  • Click Cookies and Other Site Data in the middle
  • Scroll down and click See All Site Data and Permissions
  • In the Search box at the top of that page type apple.com or scroll to that entry
  • It should then display the number of cookies that apple.com is using. There will be a "trash" icon to the right of that line
  • Click on the trash icon
  • Chrome will warn you that you will be forcibly signed out of all apple.com sites, including any open tabs. Click OK
  • You should now find that the email entry box no longer vanishes before you can entry your address

If you cannot follow these steps then a general reset of all cookies in your browser may help.
