Bent iPad Air pro 2

I own a iPad Air Pro 2 (2016) and it has not had any problems in the time I have had it besides a pushed in home button which I caused. (That happened ~1 1/2 ago) I was at a friends house for the weekend so I left this iPad at home (I live with my parents) charging. My dad said he unplugged it a couple hours after I left, set it on the table, and saw that it was bent on the bottom. We thought it overheated and sat in a weird position and warped but I’m not sure. Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this? Does apple cover the damage? Can I fix it at home?

Unless you have benefit of an active AppleCare+ plan, your iPad will have no cover for accidental damage - or a bent casing. If you do have AppleCare+ cover, then your iPad is eligible for repair/replacement; being an insurance product, there will be a small excess/deductible fee for this service.

Otherwise, you iPad may be eligible for a paid repair. You can verify eligibility and cost here:

iPad Repair & Service - Apple Support

Given the age of your second generation iPad Pro, a paid-repair is perhaps unlikely to be economically viable. You might be better advised to simply replace the iPad with a much newer model - benefitting from much newer internal hardware and significant performance improvements.

You might consider visiting the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assess your iPad - and you can explore your available options:
