I just noticed that I have carbon copy cloner from bombish in the background except that I never downloaded it and I didn't even know it existed until today. Is it normal that it's on my mac?
I apologize if my question is stupid.

There's no way it could end up on your Mac unless someone downloaded and installed it.
It sounds like someone downloaded the app to try out then removed it. At least partially. Feel free to contact Bombich for help in removing the remaining parts.
You're welcome. If you migrated from your old Mac to your new Mac that is certainly possible. Although someone had to install it on your old Mac.
If Only certain elements of Carbon Copt Cloner are left - you may need to reinstall the Application
Then, follow the Instructions from CCC to fully remove the application
That's the thing, I don't see the app anywhere on my mac but still when I am in settings/ general / opening there is a carbon copy cloner in the list of apps authorized in the background.
And when I go to privilegedhelpertools folder there is a com.bombish.ccchelper and as I said this is the first time I hear about them.

I'm seeing that most files were last updated in july 2019 except one for metadata which was updated today.
Maybe it was on my previous Macbook but I truly don't remember installing CCC and no one uses my laptops.
