Pages app keeps crashing and freezing - Apple Ipad Pro 10.5

I have all my invoice templates saved in Pages format on a Google Drive account. I access the templates through the Pages app. For months now I have only been able to do one invoice and the app crashes (Pages) or just lags terrible (for hours) and won’t open the Google Drive folder.


I can’t continue to work like this. My workflow is interrupted and it’s wasting so much time.


Any advice?


  • I’ve updated to the latest ios
  • I’ve updated both Google Drive and Pages app
  • If I close the apps and re open it still doesn’t work. I just have to give it more time than I have and keep checking to see if it will work

Move your Pages templates to iCloud Drive. Google Drive thinks Pages documents are just plain old zip files and treats them differently, hence Pages may not see them exactly on Google Drive as they would be seen on iCloud Drive.


The latest iPadOS would be 16.6 and you should be using Pages v13.1 on it.
