Cannot access the App Store menu in iPhone Settings to change app settings

In a previous update, the settings for Apps added from the App Store, were grouped under a ‘App Store’ menu / label in the iPhone Settings - mine sits just above the Wallet & Apple Pay settings. Whenever I try to access the App Store menu, for example to change the background refresh settings for a particular app, it just freezes - the App Store menu greys when you select it and then just stays frozen and eventually just deselects and nothing happens. I’ve updated my iPhone to the latest iOS (16.6), I’ve restarted it, I’ve forced reset the phone.

Anybody else faced this?

I’m loathed to fully restore my phone as it’s such a pain, so want to try and avoid that if I can.

Update: resetting all settings did fix it. Didn’t work straight away, but a few hours later, apps started auto updating (had had it turned off before) and I can now also access the App Store settings menu. Bit of a phaff, adjusting all settings again, but at least less time consuming than a full restore.
