Why do most of my iPhone apps immediately quit upon opening?

When I open an app, it quits, immediately playing the opening animation in reverse, shrinking the apps loading screen back into the icon on the home page. For some reason, when I attempt it for a second time (and all following times), the app swipes itself downwards, leaving me back on the home page. I've restarted my phone, and made sure updates are up to date, but the only thing that seems to work is deleting each app and reinstalling it. Since I don't want to spend so much time reinstalling and signing in to all of my apps, is there an actual solution?
