Resetting Mac and deleted Macintosh hd and can’t reinstall OS

I was trying to reset my MacBook Air and I followed some instructions I saw online that said to delete Apple SSD and volumes. Following that I tried to reinstall the OS, but nothing appears when it asks to choose a startup disk. All the forums I read said to go into recovery mode, open disk utility and select the hard drive to restore. But in disk utility only the category “disk images” appear, and nothing for internal.

What instructions specifically? To reinstall you OS you should have gotten to this point. Did you?

Read both articles completely and decide which applies to you.

If unsure, explain in detail how you got to where you are and maybe we can be of further assistance.

With no details on your Mac, everything is just a guess.

thank you for your reply!!

The first article doesn’t help and the second article requires other devices I don’t have access to.

My machine is a 2017 MacBook Air, intel based. When I turn it on (not recovery mode) it just shows a folder with a question mark and there is nothing to interact with so I can’t get any further information

The instructions below are what I followed

but once I did step 5 I couldn’t go any further because apple ssd was not visible anymore. After that I shut it down and could get back to macOS utilities through recovery mode but everything has been a dead end. There are no options in disk utility, I don’t have a time machine backup And when I tried to reinstall MacOS it doesn’t show any disks to select for installation of macOS.

really appreciate your help.
