Battery Drains 9-10 percent per hour. Is this normal?
I have an xs max and just changed the battery. it drains 9-10 percent per hour when I use it (watching videos, social media) is it normal?
iPhone 7

hi, thank you so much. no it’s not a 7, just shows my old phone for some reason. is there a way to fix it, if it’s an app?
That’s the device that was selected when posting the question, then.
In addition to checking the battery health (and 80% or lower is headed-for-replacement territory) on whichever iPhone model this actually is (again, Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging), also check the app power usage. That’s shown under Settings > Battery, and scroll down.
If there is an app there unexpectedly consuming a lot of power, remove the app, restart the iPhone, re-download the app, and check again in a day or so. If the app power consumption persists, check with the app vendor.

That fast? No. It might be an app that’s gone bonkers and is just consuming battery. There’s another possibility I’d check for here first, though: if this is an iPhone 7 with an old or its original battery, that battery can well be failing. Check the battery health (Settings > Battery > Battery Health) as a starting point, and see if that is showing 80% or lower, and thus due for replacement.
