I am trying to sign in to Icloud on my laptop from Quebec but the log-in page is in another language with no option to change to english. I am worried to click on something I don't understand and possibly get a virus. Does Apple not offer a secure sign in option ?

I've never heard of anyone getting a virus from Apple's iCloud website. In order to access it you need to click on the Se Connecter button and provide your Apple ID and password, plus you can have additional security if you want it.
After signing in you may be able to change the language, I'm not sure.
