How can I clear up storage if I can’t delete pictures because they were transferred from my MacBook to my iPhone C

My old phone broke, so I got a new phone and transferred all my photos saved on my mac to my new phone. Now I can’t delete the transferred photos off my phone and it’s taking up all my storage
