How to prevent changing timezone in ScreenTime for kids devices

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you have some questions about Screen Time restrictions, and we're happy to help. You are on the right path to adjust the necessary settings! Check out the steps below to make sure time zone changes cannot be made.

1. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Location Services > System Services > Setting Time Zone. You will want this feature to be disabled.
2. Go back to Location Services and set this to "Don't Allow Changes."
3. Check Settings > General > Date & Time. A message should appear that says "The time zone cannot be set manually due to device restrictions."

Many people find that this does not work. I tried over and over, but finally I did get it to work by completely disabling screen time on my child's phone (from my phone). Then on her device, I re-enabled screentime. Then it worked!

This is the only way I figured out how to get around the bug. It does require going back through the screentime settings and making sure everything else locked down again.
