Want to buy a kindle reader I can hit spot my iPhone XR to as kindle is no longer cellular and doesn’t always connect to Wi-Fi if I’m away

No Hotspot Maximiize Compatibility Option Running current iOS (16.3) on an iPhone 12 SE (second generation SE). I don't have the option to maximize compatibility as part of my mobile hotspot. It's apparently needed for me to use the hotspot with a Kindle. How do I activate this option?
