I keep getting a error message that the update can't install...Any suggestions, and the update is Monterey
I have restarted the computer and tried to update right away, I have not tried updating in Safe Mode

What happens when you try? Do you get an error message of any sort?
How much free space do you have on your boot drive? You'll need a minimum of 50 GB to upgrade. The more the better. I like to keep a minimum of 100 GB free on my boot drive for better performance, etc.
Does the message indicate a problem?
Next step is to try updating in Safe Mode.
