how to search an album by its name in Photos app in iPhones?

On my iPhone with iOS 17 I can search for albums. While viewing the library, type the name of an album into the search field. Photos should present you with the album as a search result.

For example, I just searched for my album "Panama Kanal", and the search result is showing this album below the heading "Albums":

The search is quite powerful in Photos iOS. we can even search for items, that are not supported in Photos iOS, for example keywords. when I add keywords in Photos on my Mac, I can search for them in Photos on my iPad or iPhone.

"Tap Search, then tap the search field at the top of the screen to search by any of the following:

• Date (month or year)
• Place (city or state)
• Business names (museums, for example)
• Category (beach or sunset, for example)
• Events (sports games or concerts, for example)
• A person identified in your People album (see Find and identify people in Photos)
• Text (an email address or phone number, for example)
• Caption (see See photo and video information)
• The person who added the photo to the library (see Set up or join an iCloud Shared Photo Library in Photos on iPhone)."

The correct answer is you cannot search the Photos Album list. This is a missing feature which one may request. I don't know of an app that will let you search by Album name, PowerPhotos does not have that feature.

I'm wrong -- look at léonie's response. I was thinking of finding an album within the folder/album list. As

léonie says you can find all albums that contain a string on the right side. You can select and move albums from there to a folder on the left side.

I don't think there's a way to search the left folder/album hierarchy or to find the path to an album including its containing folder.
