In the settings, there is a switch that says, allow Siri to answer when face side down. I can’t remember where I found it but it solve the problem. Keep looking because that setting is in there somewhere and I just put my case back on and it is working again.

My opinion, "always listen" should be the default setting for "Hey Siri," not buried in an Accessibility menu.
For me, Siri is most helpful when I can't or shouldn't look at the phone. Thanks again for putting together these visual, easy-to-use instructions.
