13.4.1 M2 messages

while typing several lines of text the cursor will jump up to the same place a few lines up and start to write over previously written text. It happens over and over to the same spot and starts writing over the text I'd just typed.

I now use text edit to write texts and then copy and paste to messages to send.

The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.5 - I would start there.

Updating didn't help,

I've determined it only happens during auto edit or auto spell, it adds a lot of weird characters inside the message I've previously typed several lines above.

It adds characters like:

what I’I’’ I’’’ay, what I’, what I’at I’at I’ what I’ I’at I’t I’t I’at I’ what I’t I’at I’at I’what I’at I’’alth g’ows’’

While at the same time I'm typing away at the end of the text adding new text not noticing what's going on earlier in the message I'm composing.

It only does this during longer texts I'm composing.
