1 - Go to: Apple Menu > System Preferences:

in the Display Settings option, click on the Mac display listed in the left column and set for Main Display

2 - Go to: Apple Menu > System Preferences, in the Display Settings option, click on the external display and set for Extended Display

3 - In Keynote, go to Keynote menu, select Preferences then select the Slideshow tabard click in the Enable Presenter Display option

Note that in the latest version of Mac OS, term Preferences, it is now called Settings
