How to remove foreign language fonts forever

selecting non-essential, non system fonts in font book and trying to file-remove does not work. How does one remove all the non system fonts at one time? How does one remove all the foreign language fonts at one time? Apple used to provide lists of essential system fonts for each new OS. Searching for that list turns up nothing.

Apple has long made fonts that conflict with professional fonts I need to use. Why won't they allow me to modify this lousy system so that I can actually use it for work?

The OS has a been completely locked down since the release of Big Sur. What changed in Ventura is Apple decided you shouldn't even be allowed to disable fonts in the Supplemental folder. Which you could easily do before Ventura with multiple third party font managers.

Vendors are supposed to use the APIs that hide fonts not related to your language/region. Adobe is one notable holdout. It's not that the can't do it, but it's seems they've decided (for now), they simply won't.
