I currently have a map of a friend's location in their contact, so when I open their contact I can see their location. I want to have this for all the friends I am location-sharing with and vice versa, but I can't figure out how to do it. Help!

The built-in Contacts app on the iPhone does not include location information even if they are sharing their location with you. Are you using another app for contacts? Are you accessing their location using the Messages app and tapping on their info at the top? Tell us more, so we're on the same page.
You can use the following to locate people that have shared their location with you: Use Find My to locate people, devices, and items
