Error going to GoogeForm using a QR code on iPhone

Any time I scan a QR code with my iPhone that should lead to a Google Form to complete, I get an error message saying "we've detected a problem with your cookie settings". This only happens with QR codes that go to GoogleForms. If I do the same thing with my husband's iPhone, he has no issue. What do I need to do to correct this?

Hi muskybelle,

OK, have you tried to clear Safari cookies and history yet? Here's how:

Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

To clear your history and cookies

1. Go to Settings

2. Tap Safari

3. Then tap Clear History and Website Data

4. Restart your iPhone and test with a QR code

• Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.

If you're using a VPN, you'll want to disconnect, and possibly remove that, if needed.

Let us know if those steps take care of the issue.

Thanks!

Hello muskybelle,

Are you using an iPhone 7 with iOS 10, as mentioned in your post? If so, then we would start by updating your iPhone to the latest supported software version, which would be iOS 15.7.8. You can use these steps to get backed up and updated for the latest fixes: Update your iPhone or iPad

Update your iPhone or iPad

Learn how to update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.

You can update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS wirelessly.
If the update doesn't appear on your device, use your computer to update your device manually. Learn how to update your device manually if you're using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, or if you're using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier or a Windows PC.

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

After updating your iPhone, test the issue with the QR codes.

Let us know how it goes.

Take care.
