what is meant by "drag the little icon at the top of the Finder window which contains the folder you opened into the Terminal window. Press Enter and empty the Trash again." What little icon?

Emptying trash issue I was looking for how to empty trash when it is "being used by another task" and what somehow helped was this: 1) Open Terminal 2) Type in "killall Finder" and press Enter - NOTE: all your Desktop apps and Finder windows will disappear for ~15 seconds. 3) Once everything returns, check Trash again - for me, it was emptied. I don't know the logic behind this so maybe it was just a coincidence, but if you have a similar issue, you can try it out.

Can only delete files immediately, not store in trash Mac Studio 2022 using Monterey 12.3.1 and at some point something happened and now when I drag items to the trash, it asks me if I want to delete immediately. Been on a Mac for 30 years and I like keeping things in the trash for a few days to a week before deleting. Wonder if I hit a setting somewhere, but have researched a lot to no avail. I saw a thread that said to delete my '.trash' folder in my Home folder, but I only have a regular 'Trash' folder in there, and I'm not sure how to delete it.
