iPhone 14 Pro Focus issue with Video and Pictures

None of the “advice” on this thread helps. I still struggle with the video camera’s random out of focus. It’s highly irritating! I truely regret upgrading to the iPhone 14.

Mines the same video *****!! Ironic since apple kept stating this was one of the highlights of this phone…

Zooming on the Iphone 14 Pro is awful. When your image is at a certain distance, there is a sudden jump in image size. It feels like the transition from one lens to another is not smooth. My iphone 11 pro has never done that, nothing more disappointing and definitely not buying a 15...

Agree with ArrieWarrie - the focus is frustrating especially in any kind of low light. None of these recommendations seems to fully rectify the situation. Is there a way to return to the iPhone 13 settings that worked well for those of without film school degrees?

Try disabling Macro-mode. It’s the little flower icon setting. I THIIIIIIINK that’s what was causing it for me and I just turned it off and it seems to be working fine now. ❤️💋🏳️‍🌈

I thought the focus problem mentioned in this post was just me, but I found out yesterday my sister in law has same issue. It’s been happening for several months. I’ve spent hours adjusting camera settings and nothing has corrected the problem. It’s very frustrating. It’s basically useless when trying to record my kids ballgames.
