iPod touch says it’s connected to headphones but bluetooth is off.

I was trying to play music today on my 7th Gen iPod touch and I couldn’t hear anything no matter what my volume was at. I swiped up to get to the control center and on the volume slider it had the little headphones icon. I went to settings and turned off bluetooth, but it still said it was playing through headphones and i couldn’t hear anything. Next i powered it off and on again and nothing. I “forgot” every device on Bluetooth and it still said it was playing through headphones. I asked my friend if it was playing through her headphones and she said no. I tried connecting my iPod to another set of headphones but it wouldn’t connect because the iPod thinks that it’s playing in someone’s headphones. I would really love some help with this as I can’t hear anything through my iPod speakers right now. Thank you!
