Accidentally clicked delete all tabs and want to get them(urgent)

I accidentally lost over 100 tabs due to a mis click on safari iPhone, how do I restore them on mass? This is a shared tab so it may be possible to use my iPad for it as well.

p.s why isn’t there a confirmation button for that in case of miss clicks or an easier way to restore them?

I’ve recently deleted my search history but realized I closed all tabs too and it was above 100 of them and some were really important for my and than I saw recently closed tabs clicked on it and instead of opening them I cleared them all and I tried looking for them in all deleted search history but still didn’t find them since I opened those tabs 9 months ago and didn’t close them can someone help recover those ?

There's a few ways you might be able to bring them back.

  • Whenever you accidentally make a change on iPhone, you can shake the phone to bring up the undo prompt.
  • If you press and hold the plus icon used to open a new tab, you should see an option to reopen closed tabs.
  • If those options doesn't work, you can check your history to re-open the websites from the closed tabs.

These options will only work if you haven't cleared your history, and you are not using private browsing.

That only works for typing as far as I know. I just tested it on Safari after closing a tab and it does nothing. What happened when you tested it?

To clarify, it brings up a list of recently closed tabs, not an option to "reopen closed tabs". You need to click on each one individually.

The shake to undo works for more than just typing, here’s a non-exhaustive list of things it can work for:

  • Reading, moving, deleting or reporting emails as junk
  • Closing a tab in Safari
  • Creating or editing a calendar event
  • Renaming, deleting, creating or moving a file or folder in the files app
  • Creating, deleting, editing, completing or moving reminders
  • Rearranging apps on the home screen

Did you specifically test it with closing out a tab? I did and it didn't work. Did it work for you on your phone?

This is the ONLY thing that worked for me. The easiest and quickest way to restore closed tabs on a Mac for any browser is reopen the browser and hold the "shift+command+T" keys. Remember, you need to do this for each tab you want to restore. So for example, if you need to restore 50 tab, you would need to do this 50 times. Hope this helps ☺️
