CHANGE AN ANCIENT EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR SYSTEM to my current email!

I have been an Apple customer since the beginning. I have had many repairs, purchased all your products.

Tuesday I bought a MacBook Air and wanted to get all my date transferred to it by my MacBook Pro. I entered my current email address in all the documentartion - *****@gmail.com

BUT YOUR SYSTERM HAS HELD ONTO MY ANCIENT EMAIL ADDRESS - *****@ earthlink.net - which was cancelled 15 years ago.

I didn't get any notification that the computers were ready for pickup. I called three sources -- this has taken hours to solve -- and now I've discovered that all YOUR correspondence went to the Earthlink address - and no one can change it!!!

HOW DO I GET THIS DONE?

Hi, bb2270… I am a Mac user here, same as you and everyone else here… Apple, Inc does not reply or post here, I don’t work for Apple, Inc. your best bet would be to call/contact Apple Support at their 1-800 number or chat with them…, Be Polite and speak nicely.. you could also have called /contacted the Apple Store with Genius Bar you took them to or the AASP ( apple authorized service provider) you might have taken them to..both of them should have a phone number… for future reference, your email address may be tied to /associated with your Apple ID..you can go online to change it… see this link : Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support (CA) it mentions “” appleid.apple.com “ try going to that URL/web address by putting http:// in front of it so it looks like this : http://appleid.apple.com..

good luck…

also check under contacts and in your Mac mail accounts, eg internet accounts
