The small pop up has an older Apple ID, the larger pop up that shows the break down of storage on my CURRENT Apple ID. How do i change the smaller pop up to my current apple ID?

I've changed my ID and Password; the pop-up screen still has my old ID which is grey out but waiting for my password. It says, "Enter your password to continue using iCloud". It would not allow me to change the Apple ID nor accept the new password.
