Having said that (based on my previous post)... I would recommend you to take Genius bar reservations immediately as the situation that you are in is strange and I had never heard of this. There is something amiss here.

Before you damage any of your devices (Windows Laptop or Mac or iPhone)

Get a Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

When you encounter issues with your Apple devices, the Genius Bar at Apple Retail Stores is the go-to place for expert assistance. The Genius Bar is staffed by knowledgeable Apple employees, often referred to as "Geniuses," who can diagnose and resolve a wide range of hardware and software-related problems. To ensure personalized attention and a convenient visit, Apple provides the option to schedule a Genius Bar Reservation.

Contact Genius Bar.

Manage Reservations - My Reservations - Apple

Take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact Apple Support:

  1. If you prefer face-to-face assistance, you can visit an Apple Retail Store. Apple Retail Stores are designed to provide a hands-on experience with Apple products and offer support services. You can speak with Apple specialists, known as "Creative Pros" in some locations, who can assist you with product-related inquiries or minor troubleshooting.
  2. In addition to Apple Retail Stores, there are Apple Authorized Service Providers (AASPs) that are authorized to perform repairs on Apple products. AASPs are independent businesses certified by Apple to offer service and repairs for various Apple devices.
  3. If visiting a physical location is not possible or convenient, you can seek support by contacting Apple Support. Apple offers various channels for support, including phone support, live chat, and email. The official Apple Support website provides information on how to reach out to Apple for assistance.

Finally, you can also start a repair log or track the status of existing repair --> Apple Repair and Repair Status Check - Official Apple Support

In summary, Apple provides customers with a range of support options, including the Genius Bar Reservation system, visits to Apple Retail Stores or Authorized Service Providers, and various channels to contact Apple Support for assistance with their products. These services aim to ensure that Apple users receive the necessary help and support whenever they encounter issues with their devices.

In the absence of the following info I am unable to provide any suggestions.

  1. How many ports are there in the Mac and how each of them are loaded in the sense what are the devices connected to them
  2. What Charging adapter you are using in the wall socket.

Please understand the charging behavior of your iPhone can be influenced by factors such as the USB port load on your Mac and the wattage of the USB port on a Windows laptop. Let's break down these factors:

  1. USB ports on a Mac can supply different levels of power depending on their type. USB ports are generally categorized as USB 2.0, USB 3.0, or USB-C, and each type has its own power output capabilities. Some USB ports on Macs might not provide enough power to charge your iPhone, especially if they are being used to power other devices that draw power, like external hard drives or peripherals.
  2. Similarly, USB ports on Windows laptops also have varying power output capabilities. Some USB ports might be designed to deliver higher wattage, allowing them to charge devices faster or handle higher power requirements. If the USB port on your Windows laptop provides higher wattage, it could result in more efficient charging for your iPhone.
  3. The quality of the Lightning cable and power adapter you use can also affect charging. High-quality, certified Apple accessories are designed to work optimally with your device and provide consistent charging performance.
  4. iPhones have built-in power management systems that negotiate power requirements with the connected device (like a Mac or Windows laptop). If the device and iPhone cannot establish the proper power negotiation, it could lead to slower charging or no charging at all.

In summary, yes, the charging behavior of your iPhone can depend on the USB port load of your Mac and the wattage of the USB port on a Windows laptop. It's important to use high-quality accessories, ensure compatibility, and consider the power output capabilities of the USB ports you're using to achieve optimal charging performance. If you experience inconsistent charging, trying different ports, cables, and adapters can help identify the source of the issue.

sorry I forgot about the data of the laptops, Mac has a couple of thunderbolt/USB 4 ports that used to work, also the charger is the default apple fast charge, I don't know about the USB-Cs on my windows laptop, I am not able to go into an Apple Store right now but I think it would be the best as its weird that my wall socket is not working

Just looking at some info on my phone power capability... I'm pretty sure the guy at the store sold me a 20 Wat instead of a 30 so that may be one of the reasons, not sure about loading from the mac, I'll visit the store as soon as possible anyway

thanks for your time
