My phone is only charging when connected to my laptop
I recently bought a new iphone 16 and it is not charging when plugged into the wall and only charging when connected to my laptop

That sounds to me like the power supply you're using is faulty or has insufficient current, assuming you're using the same cable that you successfully use to connect to your computer. Try a different power supply.
