how do i get a previous apple ID off of my mac when i don’t know the password and it is not mine?

my ex boyfriend had his apple ID logged into my computer, when we broke up, he changed his password before i can take it completely off. so now i can’t log out or switch to my own without knowing his new password which is obviously not possible. I virtually can’t use my mac anymore because i’m halfway logged in but not logged in to his Apple ID. I can’t access almost anything except the internet

You can contact Apple support for help, -> Get Support (apple.com)

You have to show proof of ownership of your product, provide all documentation showing your purchase of the device.

If you do not have additional proof of ownership, contact the reseller. They may be able to provide the original purchase document.

Once Apple receive your proof of ownership, Apple will further review your request and provide an update.
