MAIL MAC OS...

There has never been such a Native Feature built into Apple Mail Application OS X / macOS

At least, since I first started on Apple Computers going back to OS X 10.4 Tiger released April 29, 2005

As your above question is appearing in the Forums for macOS 13 Ventura for Apple Computers.

The Feature for " Read Receipts " in contained from within the Apple Messages Application

Therefore, Messages >> Setting >> iMessages tab

Then Setting tab as per image below

As you can see - I have Un-Ticked the " Read Receipts "

Thank You.

I use Apple Mail in MACos, iPad os & iOS.

The server is Exchange

Things got bad and I needed in apple to delete mail account and make new again.

The new account came with 5000 old mails.

Discovered that MAC Mail started to send read receipts for things with years...

That is the issue...

In Outlook there is a option to disable this, in MAC OS don't find...
