Pop up

Pop up appeared saying that my phone would shut down in two minutes if I didnt push the link. My phone initially dimmed the screen then got hot.

iPad Pro 6th generation overheating My iPad told me it was overheating today. It asked me to shut it down. I was unable to shut it down. Finally after a number of tries, I was able to shut it down. By that point it was hard to hold, probably around 130 deg F. What causes this, and what can I do to prevent it in the future?
