Simple as that. Can I drag it back to my Mac HD?

Simple as that. Can I drag it back to my Mac HD?

Uncheck the "Desktop and Documents" selection in the iCloud setup:

Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive - Apple Support (SG)
