M2 MacBook Pro screen crack for no apparent reason

Is it cracked as in the OP?

If not, just shut the MacBook down and reboot it. It could be a graphics matter.

No need to get angry and become distressed. If you have the warranty still on, just send it in for service, and wait for an official report, or repaired device back.

Coming from South Africa I have the same problem the apple guy said it’s physical damage but there’s no crack on the screen just the dent

Have you shown your Mac to an expert at a service station?

Just wanted to update. My screen broke and the repair was a few hundred cheaper for the air than the pro.

I just went to the apple service center and argued until finally I got it serviced without a charge because mine is still under one-year warranty.

There was a class action lawsuit for models from 2015-2019. I also called apple support and was told that there is no replacement program for newer models with this issue ☹️

My M2 pro max has the same white line in the lower left corner, vertical and horizontal lines. When the whole thing was fixed together

I just brought them to Apple store and argued and showed them this discussion. I talked to the manager and they decided to take it free of charge (mine is still under one year warranty)

I must have lucked out because my 15 inch MacBook Air M2 screen does not have this problem, and I have had this since August 2023.

an update to my experience in the uk --- I have had no luck whatsoever I have to pay

I got mine done without paying. I kept pushing and blaming them for this and they gave up and gave me free of charge screen replacement. Mine is still under one year warranty.
