HomePod iCloud error
Recently my Kitchen HomePod, which is an original HomePod has stopped working consistently. When I open the home app, there’s an error that says I need to enter my iCloud password. When I select the HomePod to enter the password there’s an error that says your Apple ID or password has been entered incorrectly, if I scroll down and click “enter password”, despite deleting all of my passwords, it goes right to authenticating which eventually fails. I spoke with Apple support and they said this is a known issue and that I should just try to update the next time I see an iOS update. When I googled it, it seems this issue has been going on for years. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue successfully?
