AppleMusic sharing with a family

I am currently sharing my Apple Music with a family member however they don’t seem to have the same access as I do. It keeps asking them to pay for a subscription Is that correct?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16

Hi there domenick208,

Thanks for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand you have a question about Apple Music Family. We're happy to help.

Is the the family member part of your Family Sharing group? You can see this at Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing

Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

Then, make sure the Apple Music family subscription is set up: Get an Apple Music family subscription - Apple Support

That should help. Should you have additional trouble, we recommend getting ahold of Apple Support: Get Support

Take care.
