On my iMac computer, after wiping the display, the anti-glare coating was erased. I live in Russia and I was denied support for replacing the display. But in 2014, the same problem was addressed by MacBook pro users. They replaced the displays for free.
I use all apple products. But I feel deprived when problems arise through no fault of my own and I am refused by paying not a small amount.

FWIW, damage caused by cleaning any Apple screen by a method other than what is recommended would not be covered.

I just took a closer look at your screen shot. It looks like the glass is actually damaged. It is not the removal of the anti-glare coating.
