I lost my photo

after my phone was updated, all photos from 2023 disappeared

Hey myroslava41,


This article addresses issues with missing photos and may help you with locating/recovering yours: If you're missing photos or videos in the Photos app.


Were photos being synced to iCloud before updating? If so, make sure iCloud Photos is enabled in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos.


If you're still not seeing them, make sure they are in iCloud by going to this website: iCloud. Once there, sign in with your Apple ID and password. If they photos are in iCloud, this article may help with syncing them to the iPhone: If your iCloud Photos aren't syncing to your device.


If the photos were not syncing to iCloud, and you have a current backup, you may be after to restore the photos by restoring that backup. Keep in mind, any information on the iPhone will be replaced with the information that was on the device at the time of the backup.
