Hey there! I get how frustrating it can be when tech acts up. Let’s try to get to the bottom of your pixelation problem with the iPhone 12 Pro Max when switching lenses. Here’s a step-by-step:

1. Update Your iPhone: Sometimes, the solution is as simple as updating your software. Apple often tosses in fixes for bugs in these updates.

• Pop into Settings.

• Tap on General.

• Click on Software Update. If there’s a newer version than iOS 16.6, grab it!

2. Check Your Camera Settings: Maybe some setting got tweaked by accident.

• Head over to Settings.

• Find the Camera section.

• Check to see if there’s an option to reset all the camera settings to their defaults. Give it a shot.

3. Other Camera Apps?: Are you using any camera apps other than the standard iPhone one? Just to rule things out, use the built-in Camera app and see if the problem’s still there.

4. Storage Issues: When your iPhone’s getting full, it can act a bit weird.

• Go to Settings.

• Tap on General.

• Click on Storage. If you’re running low, try deleting stuff you don’t need or moving photos and videos to iCloud.

5. Try Different Video Settings: You’ve mentioned a few, but let’s be thorough. Test out shooting in 720P too and see what happens.

6. Clean Those Lenses: This might sound basic, but fingerprints and smudges can mess things up. Grab a soft cloth and give the lenses a gentle clean.

7. Give Your iPhone a Quick Restart:

• Press the Volume Up button quickly and let it go.

• Do the same with the Volume Down button.

• Hold down the Side button until you see the Apple logo. Then, let go.

8. Backup and Start Fresh: If it’s still acting up, you might need to start fresh.

• Backup your phone (so you don’t lose stuff).

• Restore it to how it was when you first got it (factory settings).

• Test the camera before you put all your stuff back on, just to see if it was a weird software glitch or something in your backup.
