Using ACH transfer (routing number and account number) takes one to three business days. The 11th was Friday and depending on the time of day, the money has not moved yet. Yes, it’s removed from your originating account, but that is your banks policy in regard to what to show account owners/depositors.
Chances are the funds won’t even move until tomorrow. Why? Saturday and Sunday aren’t business days and today, October 14, is Indigenous People’s Day (Columbus Day), a federal holiday. Funds should move tomorrow and the recipient should receive the funds Wednesday, Thursday or Friday at the latest.
In case you now hate Apple, that’s OK, Cash App, Venmo, and PayPal all work the same way. If it was absolutely imperative for someone to receive the funds ASAP, then. Bite the bullet and pay the 1.5% of an instant transfer. Don’t feel bad, the other services charge 1.75%.
