Mac Pro running sluggish, EtreCheckPro advising me to do things I don't understand.

I am running Mac OS 13.4 on a 2020 Mac Pro. The computer is running sluggish, when I move the mouse it feels like it's skipping a little bit. (Yes, I have tried a different mouse.) Not horrible, but definitely worse than what I am accustomed to. I've rebooted a couple of times and it still does this, even with nothing other than the Finder running. (I think Dropbox is running in the background restart.)

I ran the program EtreCheckPro, it has been recommended here before. I'm not sure what to do with the advice it's giving me.

Under the heading “Runaway user process" it shows a program “hiutil (2)” it says the source is Apple. The program advises it is using 200% of the CPU (I don't know how you can go above 100%). If this really is from Apple, it's hard to imagine it being the problem. And if it is the problem, how do I deal with it?

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, is an invitation for disaster.

Certain Applications maybe available on the Apple Apps Store - this only means the Developer is prepared to pay Apple a portion on each sale. What the Application may do to the computer is up to the User to check this out before purchase

Any of the below should be removed as per Developers Instructions

1 - Disk Cleaner

This will include CleanMyMac , aka “ BrickMyMac “

I did some more testing. Shockingly, Text Edit seems to be using a LOT of processing power. Even a small file shows it using 140% of the processor. I have a large TextEdit file that takes the processor to 200%. I still don't understand how it can be any number greater than 100%. When I have a large TextEdit document open, and I search for various words. "Activity Monitor" only shows about 6% used by Text Edit. That number makes more sense, not the 200% that EtreCheckPro shows.
