cannot locate my iphone using icloud/findme on iphone8
got this message: the location of your devices cannot be shown because maps is not available
position is activated when Maps is active in the settings.
what is wrong there ?
OK, then either maps aren’t available for your region, or you have a VPN connection and it can’t route to Apple’s map server.
You need an Internet connection to download maps. What kind of device are you using Find My on to track your phone? One way to always have maps available is to log in to https://icloud.com/find.
I was connected onto the internet, so that is not the reason
