can you split a video clip in photos

I have long video clips (digitized from 8 mm film). Is there a way to split them so I can work with only shorter clips for Photo editing? The problem is that Photo editing affects an entire video clip, so edits to improve some segments may negatively affect other segments. Therefore, I wonder if I can split the long video, then separately Photo-edit the shorter clips.

Hi there Eliot Hudson,

You should be able to trim the video and select the 'Save Video as a New Clip' option to then edit it separately from the remainder of the video.

Save Video saves only the trimmed version of the video. Save as New Clip keeps the original version and saves an additional trimmed version in your library.

Take care.
