Hello,
Recently I have been greeted with a message "Microsoft Sharepoint will open at login".
Everyday I go to System Settings and remove it. Next time I start up... the bloody thing is there again.
Can anyone please recommend a way to remove it from the login items list permanently ?

Thank you rkaufmann87 but your solution doesn't work. I remove Microsoft SharePoint.app from the login list systematically, but it comes back again, and again, and again... and now I'm fed up! So please, Apple, thank you for providing a tangible and lasting solution here.
Make sure it is fully Quit before the next restart.
Open System Preferences - Login Items and ensure the apps is removed from the Login Items list.
