Using the sample Home Key across multiple locks

If I have a home with 3 exterior doors (e.g. main, side and back), and I install Home Key locks on all of them (e.g. a mix of Schlage Encode Plus, Level Lock+, etc), will I use just one Apple Home Key to access all doors? How does the Home Key work across multiple locks from different brands, but all on doors on the same house on the same Apple Home network?

Hi SingingApple,

Use the steps in this resource to set up each home key and lock separately: Unlock your door with a home key on iPhone

Set up a home key
1. Add a supported lock to the Home app.

2. Choose an unlocking option.
• Express Mode: Unlock the door just by holding your iPhone or Apple Watch near the lock.
• Require Face ID or Passcode: Hold your device near the lock, then use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock it.

3. Choose automations such as Lock After Door Closes and Lock When Leaving Home.

If the lock you add supports HomeKit, all residents of your household receive the home key automatically.

If you happen to have two locks from the same manufacturer, after setting them up, test them out to make sure home key is working as expected.

Regards.
