Following tip could works on your MacBook Pro.


How to restart the Touch Bar on a Mac

  1. Start the Finder and then search for "terminal." Double-click Terminal when you see it in the Finder.
  2. In the Terminal window, type sudo pkill TouchBarServer; and press Enter.
  3. You will be asked to enter your administrator password. ... 
  4. Type sudo killall "ControlStrip"; and press Enter.

Troubleshooting a Black Touch Bar:


What to Try:


A. Reset the SMC and your NVRAM, each THRICE:

Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. updates), system configurations (i.e. for touch bar) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. It might take up to three tries to reset both successfully. So, be certain you have the time to do so. Perform both resets thrice.

B. Single-Out this User:

Create a new user (for troubleshooting purposes) - see if it still happens. If so, then it is something created in your current user. If not, it may be a hardware failure.
